I thought I’d share this photo of me with the Seabirds Food Truck. Yep! They were the runner-up of the recent Great Food Truck Race on the Food Network. I had this wonderful opportunity to meet them and taste their delicious Vegan food at the O.C. Green Market in Irvine.
What a treat it was to share our all-natural creations (as well as our Vegan) and mingle with other “greenies!”

I have been so busy with planning up-coming events the last few days. Not to mention, school started for my two boys. So, super-busy is an understatement.
Anyway, I got my confirmation as one of the vendors at the Irvine Global Village Festival in October. Needless to say, I am elated! The event focuses on the city of Irvine’s diverse community through arts, entertainment and food. It has drawn over 16,000 visitors the last 9 years, and truly, I am very proud to be a part of this special event.
With this said, I have my work cut-out for me. I am tasked to make 1,500 of my creations for the event. Somewhere between family, school, household chores, etc., I was able to manage and finalize a grand plan on how to execute this ~ successfully. While there were many sleepless nights (you know, scrapping a plan in place of another), I have to say that I learned a lot from it. I realized that this is truly my passion (otherwise, I wouldn’t be stressing over it), and the excitement that goes with having to share what I love to do with so many people makes it all worthwhile. After all, our new generation really deserves to know that DELICIOUS AND HEALTHY desserts don’t have to look colorful to attract our taste buds, and EXCELLENT desserts are so, so, so much better when made naturally…
I am sure any special order after this 1,500-piece-practice will be a piece-of-cake! Practice may yield perfection, but who needs to be perfect anyway?

Welcome, welcome, welcome! This is my very first blog and I am quite nervous and excited all at the same time. I am a very private person, and a blog is the last thing I thought I would ever do. Well, let’s make this short and sweet, shall we. My name is Elizabeth and I am from Orange County, California. I am proud to say that I am a lucky mother of two lovely boys and a doting wife to my husband, who is truly my number one fan (and vice versa). We own one beta fish. We love the outdoors. Cooking and baking from scratch is what we do best at home. I am just truly blessed, to say the least.
A little over 8 years ago I decided to switch to mostly organic and all-natural way of eating. It was not a hard transition for the family, except when it came to dessert. Unfortunately, both of my little boys love their sweets, especially those with chocolates. Not wanting to rely on store-bought sweets, I experimented with something that they can enjoy (more-than-one of) without having to worry about excess sugar. Then came our chocolate dipped cake pops. It was an instant hit and became popular at school and in our neighborhood. Then, as you guessed it, Les Pops Sweets was born. Our web-based company officially started a little over a month ago and it is simply to celebrate and share our LOVE of cooking and baking ~ in a traditional and healthy sort-of-way. Oh, I should mention that we do offer gluten-free, vegan, dairy and lactose-free :)
I guess this has been a good introduction of who I am and what I love to do. I will be posting blogs constantly, so please stay tuned. For now, I have to say, “au revoir!”
Why the French name? I just have a soft spot for French desserts. This reminds me, I have to age my egg whites!
